JAMES F. LECHOWICZ

James is a partner with Flores & Mihevc, LLC.  James has over ten years legal experience and concentrates his practice on commercial, financial, corporate and business law.  He serves a diverse client base that includes developers, landlords, tenants, financial institutions, public and privately held companies and entrepreneurs.  James has extensive experience representing clients in commercial real estate acquisitions, development, disposition, landlord and tenant leasing, representing lenders and borrowers in commercial loan transactions, and representing private companies in mergers and acquisitions and individuals in business organizations.  James also has experience in zoning and land use law, including representing clients at zoning and other public hearings, obtaining conditional use permits, special use permits, and variances, and conducting meetings with public officials and zoning administrators.

Prior to joining Flores & Mihevc, LLC, James worked as an attorney at Lowis & Gellen LLP where he focused his practice on representing financial institutions, private lenders and borrowers in commercial loan transactions, including revolving and fixed loans, construction loans, mezzanine loans and participations.  James advised lenders on collateralization and securitization issues and represented business clients in acquiring or divesting businesses by negotiating stock and asset purchase and sale agreements, performing due diligence and advising on entity formation.  James also represented landlords and tenants in commercial lease transactions, and represented businesses and individuals in commercial litigation.

James is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the International Council of Shopping Centers.

James received his B.S. from Marquette University and his J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law.
